At Kids First, our goal is to make therapy simple and stress-free for families. That’s why we’ve partnered with Thrizer to support our out-of-network patients. With Thrizer, you have three straightforward options to manage payments and insurance.

Option 1 - Pre-deductible superbill uploads 

You pay the full session fee, Thrizer submits the superbill for you to insurance and creates the claim which helps work towards your out of network deductible.

Option 2 - Out of network pay 

You pay the full session fee but once your out of network deductible is met, Thrizer will create and submit the claim to your insurance on your behalf. You wait to get reimbursed based on your out of network benefits.

Option 3 - Thrizer Pay

Your deductible is met! You only pay your estimated copay or coinsurance (depending on your plan), Thrizer covers the rest of the session cost.

Example of Therapy with Thrizer

Session cost is $200 and client has a $500 out of network deductible.

Once deductible is met, out of network therapy is covered at $50 copay per session

Without Thrizer

  • You pay $200 out of pocket

  • You submit the superbill to insurance

  • If deductible is not met 👉🏼 $200 counts towards your out of network deductible

  • If deductible is met 👉🏼 you wait 8-10 weeks for $150 reimbursement and would potentially need to follow up with insurance multiple times

  • Thrizer submits superbill for you to count towards deductible

  • No additional cost or fee for you

Option 2 - Out of Network Pay

  • You pay $200 out of pocket

  • Thrizer submits superbill for you and handles following up with insurance

  • Typically wait 4-6 weeks for $150 reimbursement

  • Thrizer keeps 1% of session cost ($2)

Option 3 - Thrizer Pay

  • You pay $60

    • Expected copay of $50

    • 5% of therapist fee = $10

  • Thrizer handles the rest including submitting to insurance and waiting for reimbursement

  • No delay, no paperwork
